CASA LLENA ​

Location: Los Mochis, Sinaloa, México.​

Scope: Design and build project (2022) and ongoing construction supervision (Current).

A classic bioclimatic home with modern principles, featuring open floor plans and natural lighting and ventilation, creating a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The design of this colonial-style home aims to evoke childhood memories for the client from the historic center of Mazatlán, Sinaloa. The high-tech second floor represents a bridge between classic and modern elements, reflecting common practices in the restoration of historically significant buildings worldwide.

CASA PATIO

Location: Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Scope: Design and build project (2016) and construction supervision (2017). â€‹â€‹

A timeless design inspired by Modernist principles: simple, spacious, practical, and open to the outdoors. It features a large central courtyard that connects public and private spaces, creating a healthy environment with abundant ventilation and natural light. The home captures morning sunlight and shields from the afternoon heat, using small and large windows to optimize passive cooling during seasonal changes.

CASA HERRADURA​
​

Location: Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Inspired by the movement of a drop of water spreading outward from a central point, Casa Herradura features a horseshoe shape with an open central courtyard where the sky becomes the focal point. This design seamlessly blends classic elegance with modern functionality, allowing natural light to flood in from windows on both sides and facilitating cross-ventilation to refresh the home. The courtyard is designed to capture cool morning breezes while providing shelter from the hot afternoon sun. This harmonious fusion of classic design and contemporary elements not only enhances the home's value but also reflects the family’s refined taste for architecture that is both timeless and modern.

BUNGALOWS OFF THE GRID​
​

Location: Baja California Sur, Mexico.

Scope: Design project (2024).

​

Located 1 km from a mountain range and 3 km from Baja California’s beautiful beaches (exact location confidential), these bungalows are strategically positioned on a 30-degree slope to ensure sea and sunrise views. Each bungalow is energy self-sufficient with solar power and features bioclimatic design for effective cross-ventilation, protection from strong northern winds, and shielding from the intense western sun. Water is supplied by truck, and each unit has its own wastewater treatment and water recycling system, saving up to 80% in water consumption. The construction method uses local techniques suited to the remote location.

CASA BAJAMAR​

Location: Baja California Sur, Mexico.

Casa Bajamar is designed to take advantage of the area’s rising market and is located on a 20% sloped hillside for optimal bay views from the social spaces. It features three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms on the ground floor, and common areas on the second floor and rooftop. This makes it ideal for renting to families or groups for weekend vacations or longer stays.

CASA PRETI​

Location: Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Scope: Design and build project (2018) and grey work construction (2019).

Designed for seniors, Casa Preti is a single-level home where natural light, cross-ventilation, and family needs influence the layout. It features intimate, interconnected spaces with a focus on health. The use of exposed materials ensures minimal maintenance and a comfortable environment that ages gracefully, reflecting the natural aging process of its inhabitants.

CASA ALCAZAR​

Casa Alcazar redefines sloped roofs in its development to maximize light and airflow. It integrates with vertical elements to create a smooth construction method, where each part serves a specific function based on environmental and user needs. We bring a modern twist to traditional architecture for the modern user’s enjoyment.

CASA BAMBÚ 1.0​
​

Location: Colima, Colima, Mexico.

Scope: Architectural project (2021).

​

Casa Bambú is situated in the urban area of Colima, utilizing a traditional construction method from the region. This approach will undergo governmental reviews to obtain construction permits and approval for future projects. The house introduces a new trend of using predominantly wooden structures, which absorb CO2 during the trees' growth. Bamboo, in particular, is ideal due to its rapid growth rate of up to 3 feet per day under optimal conditions.

CASA LAS LOMAS​
​

Location: Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Scope: Design and build project (2020) and Construction by third parties with substantial design changes (2024).

​

Casa Las Lomas is designed for seniors and is located in a hilly residential area. The site is leveled in the middle to provide a single-story layout with common areas and two bedrooms on the ground floor, and two additional bedrooms on the upper floor. The home includes a private interior courtyard and offers views of the golf course in front of the property.

CASA COLIMA​
​

Location: Colima, Colima, Mexico.

Scope: Architectural project (2019). Build project and construction by third parties (2020).

​

Casa Colima is situated in an eco-friendly neighborhood on the outskirts of Colima city, offering stunning views of the Colima Volcano. The site’s irregular shape is part of a rolling terrain, and the house design employs a vanishing point to create an optical illusion, altering the perception of space based on the observer's position. An interior courtyard ensures cross-ventilation throughout the home. The completed house serves as an example of effectively utilizing irregular plots from a bioclimatic design perspective.

CASA DIAMANTE​
​

Location: Bosque La Primavera, Jalisco, Mexico.

Scope: Conceptual project at University (2010).

​

Casa Diamante is designed for an elderly reader, poet, and writer with special needs. The house features a central courtyard and a horizontal library at its heart. The layout is a single, well-lit floor with easy access, except for service areas. It offers views of Bosque La Primavera and sunsets throughout the year. A wheelchair-friendly path surrounds the house, creating enjoyable and healthy experiences.

CASA COLIBRÍ

Located in La Ventana, BCS, Mexico, Casa Colibrí serves as a vacation home on an elevated part of the site. The common areas are oriented slightly towards the winter sunrise, enhancing views and creating a cooler microclimate in summer. The rest of the property is designed as a boutique hotel featuring a luxury cabin and two bubble cabins for an incredible stargazing experience, offering intimacy with oneself and the vast, quiet desert surroundings.

PLAZA ADENIUM​
​

Location: Los Mochis, Sinaloa, México.

Scope: Architectural project (2018).

​

Plaza Adenium is designed for an 11x100 meter site. It uses exposed brick and steel, inspired by the city's historical sugar mill and colonial architecture. The design includes Washingtonia palms, which historically housed owls for controlling rodents in sugarcane fields. The project was developed to make the most of the space and support the landowner’s price per square meter in negotiations.

PLAZA LA PRESITA​
​

Plaza La Presita is a shopping center in downtown Los Mochis, Sinaloa. The design emphasizes public spaces with wide corridors and terraces for shopping and socializing. It incorporates greenery for shade, fresh air, and pleasant walkways, offering a different experience from typical malls. Vendors can display products outside, creating a market-like atmosphere that invites visitors to explore and enjoy the space.

MAVIRI BEACH CLUB​
​

Location: Isla Natural Protegida El Maviri, Sinaloa.

Scope: Design and build project (2014) and 60% of Construction (2015).

​

Maviri Beach Club is located 25 km from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, at El Maviri beach. It was the first sports-focused venue in the area, specializing in kite surfing and nighttime activities. To optimize costs, the project involved refurbishing an existing palapa and adding lightweight, reused decking. The project faced challenges due to its detailed carpentry work and precise construction needs. Although only 60% complete due to budget issues, it operated for 2 years, offering a new way for locals to enjoy the island.

ESTUDIO PSICÓLOGO​
​

Location: Los Mochis, Sinaloa, México.

Scope: Design and build project (2014) and Construction (2014).

​

Expanding the home/studio of my childhood psychologist on the upper floor. It features a terrace and a versatile space for various activities such as reading, socializing, watching movies, sleeping, and hosting events or consultations. This project is especially meaningful to me as it was my first complete design and build. The building is noted for its abundant natural light and its unique design, which uses the chimney effect principle for natural ventilation to keep the space cool.
